Honey Whole Wheat Bread {SRC}



Today is the day for The Secret Recipe Club reveal.  This month I was assigned Food.Baby.Life. written by Susan. Susan lives in Australia and has been blogging for 5 years.  She has 3 boys all under the age of 5.  Susan loves to bake and I really admire the changes she made to her family's diet by eliminating sugar and processed foods.  She tries to make her own condiments as much as possible...that is a great achievement!  After browsing through her recipes I decided to make her Whole Wheat Loaves.  We were out of bread and I haven't yet tried to make a Whole Wheat Bread before.

Layered Strawberry Rhubarb Trifle {CLBN}


Today I am recreating Canadian Living's April cover recipe in my kitchen.  When I got my assignment I was excited but also nervous since I've never made or even eaten rhubarb before. I have seen lots of recipes that pair strawberries and rhubarb but I would always leave the rhubarb out scared it would make the whole dish sour.  As I looked over the ingredient list I loved the combination of an Orange Vanilla Bean Custard combined with strawberries.

Light Tuna Casserole


I've never had Tuna Casserole before.  Growing up we ate mostly Indian food.  I've seen lots of recipe floating around for Tuna Casserole and for many it was a staple growing up.  I came across this light version on Martha Stewart.  It seemed simple to put together but lacking in the flavour department.  So I added some La Bomba sauce and dried dill.  I found La Bomba in Wal-Mart in the Italian section.  It's like an Italian achaar!  After my changes it was a definite winner for us.
